The EZTeam have just released v12 of the EZ5i internal/boot loader (different from the firmware) which allows them to run on DSis with 1.4 firmware.
The team behind the Hyper-R4i have as well released a firmware which allows previous models of the Hyper R4i to work on DSi firmware 1.4, however it’s been known to be a clone of the EZFlash itself.

With the release of the 1.4 firmware for the DSi, Nintendo added a few additions such as a faster* camera, Facebook photo uploads, as well as blocking various flashcarts such as the R4i. This should be an excellent test for those flashcart makers of the M3i Zero and Supercard DSONEi to see if they can find a workaround, since they have an external method of updating firmware.
Other flashcarts which cannot reflash their firmware like this, will be useless on a DSi with firmware 1.4 and above. If you have one of these, make sure to keep updated on the scene news.

Warhawk is a game based on the commercial Commodore 64 game. It is a vertical scrolling shoot-em-up game, similar to 1942.
For those having trouble Warhawk DS v1.02 is now released along with some minor changes and improvements. The FAT version is now pure FAT (not running through EFS) so it might help some people.

A very good solid Platformer has been released called The Legendary Starfy. Good and solid. Solid and good.

I’ve been playing this homebrew game, called POWDER, for the Nintendo DS. It’s a ‘port’ from the previous versions, and is a “Roguelike”. It’s a term given to games that have the same similarities to the original game, ‘Rogue’ (which inspired Diablo!), which is a dungeon crawling game from the 1980’s. I personally have found it very addicting, due to it’s simplicity, yet complexity of it’s gameplay system. It’s a very tactical based game, which contains RPG elements, mixed with real-life functions, such as commands like; ‘Breathe, eat, look, jump, sleep’ etc. It is mixed with a very retro design, keeping the look of the old ‘roguelikes’.

A few online ‘friends’ suggested this little beauty to me a while ago, however I neglected to try it, simply because I did not give a damn
Give it a try if you haven’t already. Only bad things I can say about it, are the various, common graphic glitches etc.
